Where did you grow up?
I grew up right here in Ann Arbor – grade school through UM college! Lived in LA, London England, Chicago, North Carolina, and now back here, two blocks from my old house.
What do you enjoy the most about living in the Greater Ann Arbor area?
The diversity! From cultures to architecture, it is such a melting pot, and it’s because of the resources of the Ann Arbor area and yes, the university, that makes it one of the greatest living and learning environments anywhere.
Tell us a bit about yourself and family.
I was born and raised in Ann Arbor Hills, from grade school to college. I am a fourth generation UM grad (great grandad went to law school here), and a former UM Football Cheerleader back when we were all gymnasts and used to flip off the walls at the Big House. I was an actor in Hollywood, studied theater at The Royal Academy in London, spent many years in Automotive interior design, and now real estate.
My family started developing property in Ann Arbor in the 60’s (off campus mostly, including buildings like The Maynard House downtown). I have an absolutely amazing and talented wife of 25 years, an older daughter graduating from college this month, and a dynamo on the field hockey field younger daughter finishing Sophomore year at Pioneer.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love outdoors! Hiking National Parks whenever I can, kayaking, SUP, travel, and anything with my family.
How long have you been a real estate agent?
I have been an agent roughly 6 years, but family was involved much earlier.
What do you like best about working in real estate?
I am a people person, and everyday is different and fun!! You get to be invited into people’s lives and if you are lucky, make terrific and lasting friendships!
Describe your favorite memory of working with a client.
Every time I sit at a closing table and see “that grin” the buyers and sellers have that just sort of says “it was all worth it, I am so pleased”
What is the one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home today?
Buying or selling your home is an exciting ride for sure. Find that agent who you can really trust, and that you want in the driver’s seat next to you. It will make the road ahead wonderful and smooth!
