Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Snyder & Company, Realtors® has announced the addition of three new agents, Jodie Franklin, Gem Petty, and Kirk Keebler to their team. Jodie, Gem, and Kirk were all previously with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services.
Jodie was born and raised in Southeast Michigan. She came to the area in 1998 when she started studying at Eastern Michigan University, where she received a BA in Psychology and continued on to earn her MBA in 2004. After several years in sales for Con-way Freight, she decided to take on the challenge of Real Estate. For the past 7 years she has been helping both buyers and sellers throughout Washtenaw County and the surrounding areas. Having sold over 150 homes, she has experience with all different types of transactions including private sales, foreclosures, short sales, relocation, and new construction. This past year she has completed her GRI designation and completed all the state requirements to achieve her Associate Broker’s license so she can assist clients with more knowledge and experience. Jodie has lived in Milan for the past 10 years with her husband Cliff. They have a beautiful 2 year old, Evan and dog, Scully.
Gem Petty was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland and graduated from The University of Manchester in England with a BA Honors degree in Media Production. Gem moved to Ann Arbor in May of 2006 and has been an active participant at the Ann Arbor YMCA where she volunteers for youth sports leagues and the annual fundraising campaign. Gem Petty is a certified Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Relocation Specialist and has been in the real estate business for four years. Gem works with both buyers and sellers, and has significant experience with new construction. She currently resides in Dexter with her husband, Steve, and dog, Koda.
Kirk was born and raised in Ann Arbor, a true “townie.” After high school, Kirk attended Eastern Michigan University, majoring in Construction Management and was a walk-on to the Track and Field team. At EMU, he earned an athletic scholarship and was a member of several conference championship teams. Immediately after college, Kirk began an apprenticeship as a chef, eventually becoming an Executive Chef and General Manager. He has opened and operated several restaurants across the northeast and southern parts of the US, including Boston, Orlando, Cincinnati, and Louisville. Kirk “officially” retired from the restaurant industry in 2008, and returned back to Ann Arbor and has worked in real estate for the last 5 years. Kirk has obtained his GRI designation, and has completed the requirements for his Associate Brokers License. He specializes in the purchase and sale of Greater Ann Arbor Area residential properties, working with both buyers and sellers. He has a diverse real estate background and is very knowledgeable with various loan programs like FHA, 203k, USDA, Conventional, HomePath, HomeSteps, VA and different kinds of purchases; Private Sale, Foreclosure, and Short Sales.
