    7 Ways to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the Ann Arbor Area

    Although blue is a beloved color in the Ann Arbor area, green reigns supreme on St. Patrick’s Day. Whether you’re interested in drink specials, food, or family fun, the area offers entertainment for all. To help you get started, we created a list of seven ways to celebrate this year.

    1. Conor O’Neill’s

    Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in a pub built from imported Irish wood and stone. Located on Main Street in downtown Ann Arbor, Conor O’Neill’s serves authentic Irish food and offers a wide selection of drinks and spirits. Breakfast and live music begin at 7 AM, and the full menu will be available starting at 10 AM. The festivities will include Irish dancers and bagpipers.

    2. Bill’s Beer Garden

    Bill’s Beer Garden is a seasonal beer courtyard offering local craft beers and wine. The beer garden “pops up” in the parking lot of Downtown Home & Garden located one block west of Main Street in Ann Arbor. St. Patrick’s Day will mark the beginning of the 2017 season for Bill’s Beer Garden.

    3. Sidetrack Bar & Grill

    Head over to Sidetrack Bar & Grill in Ypsilanti for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Located in Ypsilanti’s historic Depot Town, Sidetrack Bar & Grill offers a wide variety of local and imported craft beer. Enjoy live bagpipers, drink specials, and fun! Feeling hungry?     4. ABC Microbrewery

    Arbor Brewing Company’s Ypsilanti Microbrewery will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with live music, drink specials, and great food. Food specials include Irish Style Bangers and Mash, Steph’s O’Brady Burger, and more! Feeling thirsty? The award-winning Michael Faricy’s Irish Stout is a favorite among patrons.

    5. Cleary’s Pub

    If you’re in Chelsea, be sure to stop by Cleary’s Pub. Original turn-of-the-century tin ceilings and exposed brick walls set the tone in this traditional neighborhood pub. Located in the historic downtown area, Cleary’s Pub is a local favorite known for their cozy atmosphere, great food, and friendly service.

    6. Emagine Saline

    Looking for an alternative to the pubs on St. Patrick’s Day weekend? Be sure to check out the new Emagine Entertainment theater opening March 18th in Saline! The theater will feature 1,000 seats in 9 state-of-the-art luxury auditoriums. Tickets for the VIP event on March 17th have already sold out. Showings begin at 10:30 AM on Saturday.

    7. Journey to Ireland Concert

    If you are interested in some all-ages pre-St. Patrick’s Day fun, don’t miss the free Journey to Ireland concert featuring the Washtenaw Community Concert Band! Guest conductor James Curnow and the 80-piece band will take audience members on a sonic journey through Irish music.
