Laura Shope

Laura has been a Realtor® with Snyder & Company Realtors® since 2004. She developed $5,000,000 in business during four of the most difficult real estate years in Michigan, and became the first Certified EcoBroker® in Ann Arbor in 2006. In addition to her success as a REALTOR® and EcoBroker®, Laura was an Instructor for EcoBroker® International (2008), and delivered a workshop at the annual EcoBroker® Conference in Colorado (2009), as well as administered EcoBroker® Training for 16 of our agents in Ann Arbor.

From 2012-2014, Laura was the Program Coordinator for BetterBuildings for Michigan. This was a 2-year Federal grant she worked with through Public Sector Consultants in Lansing to raise awareness and implement energy improvements in 10,000 homes throughout Michigan. With the Program Director, Laura facilitated the implementation process, tracked data, designed team retreats - all to accomplish the impossible! She worked with representatives from DTE and Consumer’s Energy, as well as teams in Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Northern Michigan. This program became nationally noteworthy for being exemplary in both reach and effectiveness.

Laura's reputation as an expert in energy use, green remodeling, and sustainable practices resulted in her being the recipient of the Environmental Awareness Award from the Ann Arbor Area Board of Realtors® in 2011.
